There are several million compounds isolated and described in chemical literature. An even greater number of combinations of these compounds (mixtures) requires analysis by HPLC. SIELC produces custom phases for our customers who were not able to obtain desirable results with commercially available HPLC phases.

These new phases are optimized to provide either best selectivity, shorter run time, desirable mobile phase composition, or a combination of all of these. Whatever the challenge you face in the real world analytical situation, the optimum separation media can be developed to get the best and usually most economical separation performance.

Some of these custom made phases have turned out to be useful in multiple situations and can be used by more than one customer. Some of the custom made materials are now available as specialty columns.

These columns go through the standard strict testing, packing and performance optimization. The material used to pack specialty columns is available in bulk quantity, with particle sizes different from the typical analytical 5 and 10 um sizes.
